Mr. & Mrs. Rome Christ the Redeemer | Protector Fire Station Married: September 26, 2020
This might not have been the original date that Chelsea & Brett had scheduled but their wedding day turned out just perfect. Covid-19 struck this sweet couples original plans too. They had the best attitudes despite all the crazy changes this sweet couple had to endure.
Chelsea & Brett got married at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux. If you have never been to one of Father Mark’s ceremonies, you are missing out. He truly gets to know the couple and incorporates it into the entire ceremony.
The reception then followed to Protector Fire Station. I have never photographed here before and it was the perfect spot for their family & close friends. I love what the put together in such a short time. It was the perfect reception.
I cannot wait to share these images with you. We had so much fun with you! This is only a small peek of our favorites! I hope you enjoy!
I have been looking forward to this wedding for some time now. I fell in love with Valerie and Todd’s personalities after meeting them for the first time. We had so much fun for their engagement portraits, that I knew we would have a great time for their wedding. They are so much fun to be around and have such a great group of friends.
The day started out rainy and windy, but the sun came out just as I arrived at the Dansereau House. I love this house so much. It really is the perfect place to get ready on a wedding day. When I entered the bridal suite, I was immediately greeted with familiar faces. Valerie and her bridesmaids were so calm and ready for the evening.
Valerie and Todd were married at Cypress Columns in Gray. Their ceremony was so beautiful. It was short and sweet. I love when the Justice of the Peace, Kenny Hamner, gives his Cajun blessing at the end. It’s such a special touch to the ceremony, especially for guest that are from out of town.
The reception then followed inside and DJ, Quinn Landry, was ready to get the party started. It was a night filled with great food, fun and laughter. I smiled the whole time thinking how great it felt to be celebrating this couple with all their friends and family. They have such a great support system and are surrounded by so people that love them.
We hope you guys had a wonderful time in St. Lucia. Here are some of my favorites from their beautiful day!
Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church| Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center
Married: August 15, 2020
I met Lily for her brother’s wedding in 2018. The Barber family is one of the sweetest families and I’m so honored to be invited back to document another wedding for them.
When I entered the executive room at the Hilton, I was immediately greeted with familiar faces. Lily was so excited to be marrying her sweetheart. The day was filled with so many surprises and traditions that I have never seen in all my years as a photographer. I hope to suggest some of these when my children get married one day. It was a beautiful day celebrating two people in love.
Nathaniel and Lillian were married at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. Their ceremony was so very special. The couple has a very close relationship with Reverend John. He blessed them with two beautiful gifts during their ceremony. It was very heartfelt, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the sanctuary. Nathaniel built the kneelers for the ceremony as a surprise. After the ceremony, Nathaniel and Lily gifted two of the kneelers to their parents.
The reception then followed to Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. From speeches, toast, washing of Lily’s feet to second lining, the day was filled with beautiful traditions, laughter and love.
I smiled the whole way home thinking of how precious this couple is. They have a true love for each other and the Lord. I know God is going to use them in so many ways during their marriage. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from their beautiful day!
One of my favorite things about my job is when I get the honor of being invited back to document a sibling’s wedding. I have had the privilege of being invited to photograph family & friends of the Lavergne/Theriot family and I am so very thankful.
I first met Shelby & Austin back in 2015 for Austin’s sister’s wedding. Later, I would see them at other family members’ weddings; and I remember thinking, I sure do hope I get to photograph their wedding. They have such great chemistry and their love for each other truly shines. So, when Shelby called me to start in the planning process, I was beyond ecstatic. Throughout the planning process, I have gotten to know Shelby more. She is such a sweetheart . She is gracious, polite, thankful and caring. The Lavergne family has added a jewel to their precious family.
Shelby & Austin’s wedding day was rescheduled from April because of the pandemic. We were so excited to finally be able to capture them as a married couple. They were married at St. Anne Catholic Church in Napoleonville. Father Al did such a beautiful job officiating the wedding. We then travelled to Rendezvous with a few close friends and family to celebrate.
To the Lavergne family, thank you for inviting me into your life so many years ago. I can never thank you enough. It truly has been an honor. You have raised an amazing man. I have no doubt he will take wonderful care of Shelby.
To the Daigle family. Thank you for trusting me to document your beautiful daughter’s day. You have raised a beautiful woman and it was a privilege to be part of such a special day.
Shelby and Austin, thank you for trusting me with your gorgeous wedding. I know it might not have been the original plan, but it was perfect. I’m looking forward to celebrating next year for the big party! Enjoy my favorites from your day! I hope you had a wonderful time in Georgia.
Have you ever met someone and thought… I feel like I have known this family forever! That is exactly how I felt when I first met Allie, Nick and Allie’s Mom, Mrs. Elaine. They are so genuine and have a way of making you feel so welcome. Through the whole wedding planning, they have been a true joy to work with. They are the type of family that makes my job a dream.
From the minute I step foot into the Beyer home, I was greeted with love and excitement. Bridesmaids were practicing their surprise dance for the reception and laughter filled the Beyer home. I will always think of you guys every time I hear Chillin’ Like a Villain now.
Allie and Nick were married at St. Francis De Sales Cathedral in the heart of downtown Houma. Bishop Jacobs performed a beautiful ceremony for this precious couple. Due to state restrictions, not all of Allie and Nick’s guest could attend the reception. I love how they did a receiving line after the ceremony to tell their guest thank you.
Their reception was hosted at one our favorite venues, Cypress Columns. All of Allie & Nick’s guest were so engaged and watched as the two enjoyed their first dance as a couple. As the day continued, bridal party members gave speeches. Family and friends described them as loyal, genuine, patient, loving and kind. They are both so loved and are surrounded by such amazing family and friends.
I have witnessed and photographed many weddings and this one will be one I will never forget. If you know the Beyer / Fuller family, you are truly blessed to have them in your life. They are a perfect picture of Christ’s love and I’m so blessed to have been part of such a special day.
Allie & Nick, I hope you are enjoying your first week of marriage. We had so much fun with the two you. I know you will have a wonderful marriage. Here are a few of our favorites from your beautiful day. We hope you enjoy them!
